The Aloha Section PGA is privileged to continue its partnership with Mauna Lani Resort in its fifth year as our title sponsor of the Hawaii State Open – Hawaii’s most prestigious and historic golf event of the year. With a history that dates back to 1920, the Hawaii State Open was established as the ultimate golf championship for professionals and amateurs in Hawaii, with the purpose of determining the best golfer in the islands. With the title sponsorship of Mauna Lani Resort, this tournament is able to continue its historic role in Hawaii’s golf history on the emerald fairways of Mauna Lani’s Francis H. I’i Brown North and South courses.
On behalf of the tournament committee, I would like to ask once again for your support to be a Sponsor for the 2016 Mauna Lani Resort Hawaii State Open by participating in the Pro-Am tournament. The Pro-Am will be held on Thursday, December 15th, 2016 and is a benefit for the Mauna Lani Resort Hawaii State Open and the Aloha Section PGA Foundation (our non-profit, tax-exempt 501 (c)(3) organization). The format is a 2-Best Net Aggregate with a shotgun beginning promptly at 10:00AM on the South course.
Our Standard Team Sponsorship is GOLD which entitles you to five (5) players in the Pro-Am tournament. Each Pro-Am player will receive a valuable gift package exclusively for sponsors of this event. All of our sponsors will be recognized throughout the tournament week in our printed materials, sponsor boards, and online media. We also offer merchandise sponsorship programs which allow you to feature your company name or logo on our tournament gifts. Please keep in mind if you do not see a sponsor package that fits your company’s marketing profile, we can tailor a package to your corporate standards.
The championship 54-hole stroke play event will be held December 16-18, 2016 with four divisions: Men’s Open, Men’s Senior Open, Women’s Open, and Men’s A-Flight. Last year, Professional Nick Mason shot a three day total of (208) to win the Men’s Open Championship. It was truly an exciting finish for our fourth year at Mauna Lani Resort. This year we anticipate his return to defend his title. We also look forward to having many of our local professionals and top amateurs compete in the championship event.
It is our hope that you will also join us this year on December 15th at Mauna Lani Resort to tee-it-up at our premiere championship Pro-Am. If you are unable to attend, please consider making a donation to the Aloha Section PGA Foundation or a prize donation for the Pro-Am. For Pro-Am donations, we ask that you donate items in sets of five (5).
With your support, we hope to continue the mission of the Foundation – to perpetuate the game of golf by developing and promoting interest while enhancing the lives of Hawaii families.
